Strong Convergence Theorem for Bregman Strongly Nonexpansive Mappings and Equilibrium Problems in Reflexive Banach Spaces

چکیده
We denote by F(T) the set of fixed points of T. Numerous problems in physics, optimization, and economics reduce to find a solution of the equilibrium problem. Some methods have been proposed to solve the equilibrium problem in a Hilbert spaces; see, for instance, Blum and Oettli [1], Combettes and Hirstoaga [2], and Moudafi [3]. Recently, Tada and Takahashi [4, 5] and S. Takahashi and W. Takahashi [6] obtained weak and strong convergence theorems for finding a common element of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem and the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping in a Hilbert space. In particular, Tada and Takahashi [4] established a strong convergence theorem for finding a common element of two sets by using the hybrid method introduced by Nakajo and Takahashi [7]. The authors also proved such a strong convergence theorem in a uniformly convex and uniformly smooth Banach space. In this paper, motivated by Takahashi et al. [8], we prove a strong convergence theorem for finding a common element of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem and the set of fixed points of a Bregman strongly nonexpansive mapping in a real reflexive Banach space by using the shrinking projection method. Using this theorem, we obtain two new strong convergence results for finding a solution of an equilibrium problem and a fixed point of Bregman strongly nonexpansive mappings in a real reflexive Banach space.

Strong convergence theorems for equilibrium problems and weak Bregman relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces
In this paper, a shrinking projection algorithm based on the prediction correction method for equilibrium problems and weak Bregman relatively nonexpansive mappings is introduced and investigated in Banach spaces, and then the strong convergence of the sequence generated by the proposed algorithm is derived under some suitable assumptions. These results are new and develop some recent results i...
متن کاملApproximating fixed points for nonexpansive mappings and generalized mixed equilibrium problems in Banach spaces
We introduce a new iterative scheme for nding a common elementof the solutions set of a generalized mixed equilibrium problem and the xedpoints set of an innitely countable family of nonexpansive mappings in a Banachspace setting. Strong convergence theorems of the proposed iterative scheme arealso established by the generalized projection method. Our results generalize thecorresponding results...
متن کاملStrong Convergence of the Iterations of Quasi $phi$-nonexpansive Mappings and its Applications in Banach Spaces
In this paper, we study the iterations of quasi $phi$-nonexpansive mappings and its applications in Banach spaces. At the first, we prove strong convergence of the sequence generated by the hybrid proximal point method to a common fixed point of a family of quasi $phi$-nonexpansive mappings. Then, we give applications of our main results in equilibrium problems.
متن کاملStrong convergence of modified iterative algorithm for family of asymptotically nonexpansive mappings
In this paper we introduce new modified implicit and explicit algorithms and prove strong convergence of the two algorithms to a common fixed point of a family of uniformly asymptotically regular asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in a real reflexive Banach space with a uniformly G$hat{a}$teaux differentiable norm. Our result is applicable in $L_{p}(ell_{p})$ spaces, $1 < p
متن کاملNew hybrid method for equilibrium problems and relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces
In this paper, applying hybrid projection method, a new modified Ishikawa iteration scheme is presented for finding a common element of the solution set of an equilibrium problem and the set of fixed points of relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces. A numerical example is given and the numerical behaviour of the sequences generated by this algorithm is compared with several existence...
